About this deal

The Moondrop KXXS (in my opinion) are the IEMs that the SeeAudio Yume are coming after. They have several similarities. Both of them are tuned based on a targeted sound curve, the KXXS are tuned to Moondrop’s own Virtual Diffusion Sound Field, and the Yume to the Harman Curve. Both have waifus on the box as a selling point and are beautifully crafted. However, they still have a couple of differences to distinguish them. Although Rinko's finesse expression is supposed to be the timbre of the brand-new 6mm MPMD, the fact that one can feel a clear and distinct line in the core of the sound is a melancholy that is fundamentally similar to the UE TF10Pro, which I once loved and bought four of in total.

On paper, there’s very little to criticise the Yume on. On subjective listening, the discussion becomes a little more nuanced. While I’m firmly in The Church of Sub-bass and would gladly take the Yume over your standard midbass-bloated V-shaped IEM, the Yume would be one of those cases where I’d actually want more midbass presence. Following the manner of expression in perfumery and wine tasting, the components of the sound are described below.Since many of Seeaudio's in-ear monitors (IEMs) have received high praise for their performance, the company has a large following among audiophiles. The Yume siblings—the original and the midnight edition—are two of the many IEMs they have released that I like. I've reviewed Yume Midnight before, but today I'll be talking about their latest release, Rinko, which is the result of a collaboration between the well-known YouTuber Zeos Pantera and SeeAudio. But let's go over a few things I want to make clear before continuing with the review.

Now, the soundstage. Well, well, well. If there is one thing the Yume aren’t outstanding at, this is it. The soundstage of the Yume is not bad, but it is just average. Given how well the Yume perform in most other aspects so far, I expected more from them. In some complex pieces of music such as the Tchaikovsky Symphony No.6 First Movement, the Yume can sound congested. Comparison For soundstaging and imaging, the Sony are miles ahead of the Yume. This is the main trait of the EX800ST, and they are class-leading in this regard. I don’t expect any IEMs at this price range to beat them in the near future. SeeAudio Yume vs Moondrop KXXS The mirror faceplate of the KXXS makes it very difficult to take a photo. However, it does look very cool in real life.

Included with Rinko is a twisted oxygen-free copper cable. The straight plug and Y-splitter boast a polished aluminium design, while the chin slider and connector housings are made of clear plastic. Although the cable feels somewhat generic, it performs well, despite having a slight memory effect. Sound

SeeAudio Rinko Discussion and Impressions Thread

Rinko has many meanings in Kanji, "Rin" means respectful, ethical, dignified or beautiful sound and "Ko" means children or young girl. One of the first issues I encountered with these earphones was the eartips. While they fit snugly in my ears, they caused discomfort after prolonged use, and I found myself needing to take breaks from listening to music to avoid discomfort. This is certainly a problem for anyone who enjoys listening to music for extended periods. Rinko is mid bass focused whereas Legato is more on the sub bass which the rumble is literally felt by your jaws and transitions nicely into the mid bass Most of us would have already known who SeeAudio is, a relatively young IEM brand that initially caught public attention by Yume, Bravery, with their highend Neo, Kaguya being flagship and over the years the company has established itself firmly in the international audiophile community. The faceplates have a glittery, shiny design. I am a huge fan of the greenish-blue colour scheme, which gives a premium yet understated feeling. The layering and the details in the faceplate are impressive, regardless of the price range. You can see the vent just below the 2-pin connector. That is the reason why the Yume do not have class-leading isolation.Introduction Moondrop has been gaining quite a bit of traction lately, their (now discontinued) Crescent and Kanas Pro dynamics taking if you want to minimize bass use any silicone tips ,it will reduce bass thus might be into your likings territory .

Any item returned incomplete or with physical damage such as scratches etc., excessive signs of use, or abuse will not be accepted for return. Finally, I will only evaluate the Rinko based on their performance, even though I will explain how it feels and seems physically and aesthetically. Included with the IEM is a standard-length 2-pin cable (3.5mm connect), a foil portrait of the anime girl on the box, a white clamshell case, and a set (S/M/L) of the custom Render Eartips. My apologies for the radio silence for the past week or so; my PC is currently undergoing repairs so I decided to take a brief-ish vacation extended over from the Easter weekend. I’ll try to post as much as I can using my “measurement laptop” in the meantime. Indeed, even the bass can't overwhelm the presence of the upper mid reach because of how lively and effective it sounds in the general blend.

The vocals have presence and body, although I feel that they are a little behind due to the amount of bass, the female vocals might not be heard clear and rich enough as they should, although to tell the truth this does not ruin the experience, despite not showing the most aerated sound or the most microdetails, I think that in general they have enough body and presence to not be overshadowed by the sub and mid bass. Mids are the star of the show because of planar tech and it's definitely has naturalness and openess of headphones not iem . It's very 3d and deep as well . It's also very holographic and doesn't have distortion . The vocals have breath too for both male and female and instrument have note weight and tone which you can identify. I can only imagine how awesome this driver combo will be in qdc but at same time I'm loving the tuning of rinko as much as my other expensive iems. These can hang with the big boys. And like an unhinged sax solo they aren't perfect, but every missed note is just blended into the whole, the mistakes becoming part of that experience. There's genuinely nothing I've ever heard like them. The main feature of these Rinko's is a well-crafted V-signature with a special emphasis on the bass.
