The future of gastronomy is already here
3D printing and augmented reality: new technologies are coming to our kitchens. Or, better said, they are replacing them. That is the current project at Food Ink, which describes itself as “the first restaurant in the world that prints your meal in 3D”. They have no fixed headquarters, and instead organise pop-up meals where they print any food that can be prepared from a mixture (chocolate, pizza dough or cheese, for instance). This interactive experience has already been presented at temporary gastropubs in London, Lérida and Venlo. As far as printing is concerned, they will even print the diners’ chairs.
