“Like the dormant seed in a dry desert would burst into bloom at dusk, with gentle rhythms of light under a blazing blanket of stars.” That is the idea that Bruce Munro has been developing for more than a decade, and which culminates in his Field of Light installation, at the place that inspired the artist, the Uluru monolith (Ayers Rock), in the Australian Outback. 50,000 shining spheres recreate an intimate, ephemeral feeling, and you can visit them until 31 March 2017.
