About this deal
This mission-based, entry-level STEM coding robot is designed to inspire users to learn about mechanical engineering and coding basics. All you need to build this robot (other than the kit) is a cross-head screwdriver, diagonal cutter, marker pen, ruler, and 2 AAA batteries. Great gift choice for the auntie (or Uncle) who’s not sure what their nephews and nieces are playing with - I’ve not got it wrong yet ? This mission-based, entry level STEM coding robot is designed to inspire users to learn about mechanical engineering and coding basics.
And, the fact that you get to build this robot from kit form means even more learning, and loads more fun! Manufacturer recommended age 8 years+ (We'd recommend adult assistance with construction for the younger end of the age scale). Sim was excited about this and got most of it together but the parts are small and fiddle- ended up losing some parts. The 5 in 1 mechanical robot is completely "Unplugged" and therefore is not reliant on devices like tablets or computers.
Build and re-build the parts of this comprehensive 182-piece kit into 3 different robot designs: Doodler, Shooter and Sweeper.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.Coding is easily implemented by snapping the coding buttons onto the wheel and having the robot perform its basic functions - go forward, backward, right/left turn, spin or pause. From wacky fact games to an interactive t-shirt, these presents will be sure to make you the best gift giver! Very well made, some instructions a bit hard to follow but looking at next instruction makes this clearer ( as never built a coding robot before could be my understanding), fun to build with 5 different models.
