About this deal

We’ll begin this review with the external, physical aspects of the watch, starting with dimensions (measured by myself with digital calipers).

A date window sits at 3:00 and is perfectly color-matched to the dial. The handset is well lumed, simple, and legible, and I like the bit of flare with the boxy second hand. Lume on this watch is excellent; not Seiko-flashlight-like, but more than adequate throughout an entire night. The MovementAutomatic – used by modern watches that wind automatically using the kinetic energy from your wrist. The thin golden crown of the Glycine Combat Sub bears the logo of the brand. It is built to provide additional protection to the watch, which is great if you regularly go out for outdoor activities, as it can withstand greater impacts. Bezel

The TrustedWatch GmbH is the leading media enterprise for the watch and jewelery sector in Europe. The landscape of modern dive watch design is a crowded one. It’s such a popular genre that most manufacturers have at least one example in their lineup. Many brands try hard to present something different, something to make their watch more compelling than the competition, and some go the homage route. While the watch in review today is not revolutionary in design or specifications, I very much feel that the attention given to this one makes it stand out head and shoulders above many other good dive watches. Powering the watch is of course the classic, reliable Swiss ETA 2824 automatic movement, although Glycine refers to it as the GL224. Not much needs to be said about these movements; they are tough, refined, and capable of excellent accuracy. When I bought my Combat Sub it was keeping time at +20 spd, which is within spec and not terrible, but with a bit of easy regulation (done by myself- my first time opening up an automatic watch) it keeps time consistently at +6spd. You never want anything to go wrong when purchasing something as important as your perfect timepiece. With that in mind, we’ve made you a brief list of tips and things you need to take note of when buying a watch:

The Glycine Combat Sub is equipped with 200-metre water resistance. This allows you to engage in a number of underwater activities, such as scuba diving at depths not needing helium gas, poolside diving, jet-skiing, snorkelling, and swimming. Some Combat Sub models are even equipped with up to 300 metres of water resistance. Thus, if you’re looking for a smart everyday watch that could also double as a dive watch, the Glycine Combat Sub is an ideal piece for you. Colour Choices The EHI seal is awarded after successful testing by the EHI Retail Institute, a scientific institute, whose 550 members international trading companies and their fallow associations, manufacturers of consumer and capital goods, and various service includes and confirms the following facts: The Glycine Combat Sub 48 models are the newest additions to this collection. The watches below are also powered by the highly precise GL224 Swiss automatic movement: Something that always jumps out at me about this watch is how clear and legible it is, and some of this is due to the completely flat AR-coated (inside) sapphire crystal, as with no curves at the edges and no dome reflections it’s almost completely invisible even from sharp angles. While I like a domed crystal as much as anyone, I think the flat crystal on this watch is a great decision. The dial itself is a lovely matte gray, with a 24 hour scale inside the lumed indices. The exterior of the watch is satin-brushed on top and well-polished on all sides. The transition between the brushed dial to the polished stainless steel case is finely crafted, and the blue bezel and gold PVD coating adds to the beguiling look of the piece. This piece also comes with three layers of anti-reflective coating, which makes the readability of the watch great regardless of whatever lighting conditions you are in.

The Glycine Combat Sub 46 timepieces are the medium-sized models of the series. Just like other Combat Sub watches, these models are powered by the GL224 Swiss automatic movement. As a tool watch I wouldn’t hesitate to take it on an actual dive – the stiffness and thinness of the bezel is the only thing that would give me pause, as all bezels are more difficult to operate with wet or gloved hands. For everyday wear, it sits low enough on the wrist that it doesn’t attract doorknobs or hard edges. The stainless steel case ranges from 42mm to 48mm in diameter, depending on which model you’re looking at. The range of case sizes offered is enough to fit wrists of all sizes. The 50mm lug to lug tip is well-fitted and guaranteed to match the way the case spans across the wrist. The sides of the lugs are cleanly polished, giving the watch a well-built, professional look. WATCHES.AG is rated for the fourth consecutive year with an excellent credit standing. The Bisnode credit certificate honors companies for a stable economic enterprise situation.Additionally, the GL224 Swiss automatic movement is not used in all of the Combat Sub watches. The timepieces in this collection can be classified into three different categories, each with its own type of movement:
