A refreshing approach to touring much like our own where they go off an explore beaches and places encountered along the NC 500. I’ve spent my adult life exploring Scotland and have it pretty well covered, I can’t wait to explore lots more new places that I may never have discovered without this book, all the hidden gems are inside. Avoiding the tourist hotspots and opting for scenery and tranquillity as you guided through each day in your book was so thoughtful and immensely rewarding. Superb photography which I appreciate as it is a hobby of mine and one reason I bought your book as well as having lists of various aspects of a trip my hubby Simon and myself hope to make later this year or next once I have retired. Planning an optimised NC500 road trip is hard work and a guide book like this with good quality photographs accompanied by descriptive text makes the task so much easier. Ideas are provided for places of interest, campsites, restaurants as well as the location of supermarkets on route. Whether you are planning to travel the NC500 or have already done it this book will serve as a guide and an excellent reminder of your travels.

Of course different people have different needs and tastes, but with this book you can soon ‘read between the lines’ and cherry pick the information that you personally need. As someone who is planning to travel this route (amongst others in the glorious highlands) it is an ideal ‘ taster’ of things to come. It arrived just before Christmas beautifully wrapped in brown paper and string with a personal note which made it extra special. I purchased your Scotland NC500 for Christmas 2022 and ventured off from Southern England’s South Coast in June 2023 in my new to me VW Transporter, Chelsie.However when it arrived I got into it very quickly and started in my mind , my own trips on the nc500 using the book all the way. Full of superb pictures, and useful information it inspires you to travel the route in a responsible manner. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. For me the best feature is the lists such as best distilleries, best waterfalls and beaches, where to stay. After all the waiting with eager anticipation over the last couple of months, I received my copy in the post only 2 days ago and was not disappointed.
