About this deal

Shantel Tessier’s novel “Code of Silence” is the story of a woman with a feared and dangerous husband. To read more about the site or if you want a graphic to link to us, see the about page for more details. Colt sets down the fork and keeps his eyes on me when he asks his friends, “Boys, what’s the first thing you do when you wake up with a woman in your bed? the author tried to portray her as someone who's sexually liberal and is open minded and to which i think she did a great job but honestly there was no need for her to go around and say "im his whore or his little slut" legit after every two goddamn page. She finds herself at the mercy of his father’s business partner George who has a proposition for Emilee.

These two walk the razor-thin line between love and hate and it makes for explosive chemistry and hot-as-sin scenes. She could get feisty and argumentative when being denied information, but otherwise she was a sexual doormat for Ryat to use.The author was born in Texas but now makes her home in Tulsa Oklahoma where she lives with her husband. Definitely not insta love more insta attraction and this book started at 100 which was so amazing, I can’t even begin to explain how obsessed I am with Ryat Archer.

This ultimately led to her dropping out of college and moving back home so that she can take care of her reckless and wild younger brother. I've seen it pop up on my feed several times so even though it wasn't on my August tbr I dived right in.If you loved the Ritual and you like filthy stories that lean heavily on steam for chemistry and play on lots of triggers, you’ll love this. I love Ray’s strength, how grounded she is with her desires despite her dismay at the injustice of how people treat her. But behind the scenes, It’s a university who run a society of lords, the most powerful men in the world, in which they devote their lives to violence and anarchy.

Bringing the razor blade to my mouth, I can’t help but run my tongue across it, licking up her blood before tossing it onto the table. Degration is a huge trigger warning for this one folks - if that aint your style, this aint for you. Overall, if you want to read a book which lacks storyline and have endless, monotonous and repetitive sex scenes; please be my guest! After all this,I will still go read "The Ritual" because I am a nosy person with the desire to understand this messed up fictional world. The only thing I got out of the book was the sexual attraction between the characters and not a legitimate emotional connection. This is the one thing I hate about writing reviews; I can’t say everything I want without ruining it, but I have 𝙨𝙤 𝙢𝙪𝙘𝙝 I want to share. I loved “The Ritual” so much and when I saw a couple characters from that book overlap to being in this one, It was a happy surprise. I NEEDED this book, I have been in my fantasy era for so long, that I was starting to get bored again and this book woke me right up and got me out of an impending reading slump.

I wish we had a bit of closure with some of the side characters, but that doesn’t take away from how good this is. I don't know what it is about Ryat, but that man has me in a chokehold so strong I have constant tunnel vision.I think I could have enjoyed it if there was a little more of the subplot, but this was a decent read overall. She lives in Oklahoma with her high school sweetheart, who is a wonderful, supportive husband and their two daughters.
