We initially thought the tent would be up for a couple of weeks, in reality, it was up from late June to the first week of September. Use for shelter in the sun or rain, with door and side panels available separately to create extra storage space, or a refuge from the weather! The perfect accessory for camping, the Eurohike Shelter offers extra space for cooking, eating or planning. Out of the bag, the doors do not have eyelets fitted, so you would have to either fit eyelets or use tarp clips.

I would suggest this as a 'starter' tent suitable for low level summer camping, (great for the younger ones). Perhaps it would be best to do it North to South that way the long legs between civilisation will come at the beginning when you are fresher. Fantastic headroom is provided by the curved, cross-pole construction, while four zip-away doors, all with full height mesh panels can be used in multiple ways. Apart from the missing toggle, I think the build quality is quite good and, handled carefully, this tent should stand up to gentle campsite camping for many years to come. The bag is big enough that you don't have to be too meticulous folding the cover to get it back in the bag.It has a little pocket at the front for bits, plus a hanging loop over the doorway although kept clunking my head on that. I was the only tent camper and I was allocated a patch of grass with adjacent hard-standing for the car.

I was not rushing and also stopped to take some photos while pitching, so I would say that next time I pitch up it will probably take about 20 minutes. Great for taking advantage of any slight breeze and brilliant for stargazing from the comfort of your 'bag. From campsite pitch to summer garden party, the Eurohike Shelter is a great value option for those looking to relax comfortably outdoors.The material wraps nice and snug around the framework adding to the already quite strong structure, even before you make use of the ground pegs or the corner guy lines. In any case, a huge advantage of a separate gazebo is the fact that it enables you to keep your spot on the campsite when you drive off to look at the local sights. Usually I don’t like this sort of site, but in October it was quiet and my caravan-dwelling neighbours all seemed to be pleasant retired folk who’d come up from Northumberland for the weekend. Mine is the older design with two zips and a single large door, I can see why the changed the design to the single zip and tie back doors as the rain goes everywhere when opening the door either during or after rain. Overall the tent is ideal for our use ~ this year, we are hoping to use our holidays to cycle around our lovely country and camp in our Eurohike Backpacker Tent.
