About this deal

As her world falls apart, Nina begins to question everything she thought she knew and to see the men in her life--her father, her boyfriend, and unexpectedly, her handsome and attentive boss, Rafael--in a new light. Soon Nina finds herself caught between the world she knows and loves, and a passion that could upend everything. a set of printed sheets of paper bound together between covers and forming a work of fiction or nonfiction

But when that day arrives, she realizes that she has been living her life to please her father instead of to please herself, and she learns a few things that may free her from taking the path her father has chosen for her.Nina's actions made little to no sense to me. One minute she wants nothing to do with the corporation and the next minute she's some kind of corporate wiz who exactly how to fix everything. One minute she needs time to figure herself out and 4 hours later she's in love. She was all over the place. This book contained a few tropes/topics I didn't love - insta-love and sex-shaming. And it was kind of hard for me to move past them. Good book, wasn’t sure at first if I was going to enjoy it but once you get past the first chapter it’s an okay book. Mindfulness has a range of meanings as it"has become a trend word conveying a diversity of understandings dependent on context" (Crane, 2017, p. 586) and can encompass... Narrative reference The novel, written in three books, is a “story of ideas”, which takes place during the last days of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy in 1913. A huge range of important human themes are explored: truth; opinion; society and ideas and, in many ways, it foresaw the problems that Europe would face after 1918. Unfortunately, the novel was never finished, as Musil died before its completion, having been unable to settle on an appropriate ending. He never saw fame or fortune with the book in his lifetime, despite spending 13 years of his life writing it. You’ve got to feel for the guy haven’t you?

Nina's also intensely drawn to Rafael in a way that's different than she feels for Tim, so her romantic life begins to complicate things. She starts to wonder if she has to be who and what she's always been told she must be--is following the life her dad mapped for her the only way? Or can Nina go her own way, follow her own passions, and be the person she wants to be even if that goes against everything she was ever taught?Thank you to Edelweiss, Penguin Publishing Group - G.P. Putnam’s Sons and Jill Santopolo for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review. She heard her father’s voice in her mind: You’re smarter than that. And she was. But sometimes it wasn’t about intelligence. Not when the heart got involved. Her father never seemed to understand that. Or maybe he did. All too well." On the other hand...the down-side is that it offers a highly organised and prescriptive framework for guiding adults in 'what to do' to support speech and language development. For this reason, where adults already have confidence in modulated and dialogic communication, there is the potential (as with all lists of "what to do") for the focus on techniques to interfere with the adult-child interaction. This is a wonderful story that made some have a hard time putting down for very long, and when they did, they were still pondering what would happen next. It has some great wholesome values that does a great job to inspire and some poignant romance that stirs the heart. Witermeyer is great at writing some humorous fiction that has some great faith lessons.

A direct quotation reproduces word-for-word material taken directly from another author’s work, or from your own previously published work. I honestly was not able to connect with Nina at all for some reason – with all the “struggles” she goes through, I know I’m supposed to sympathize with her or whatnot but I actually didn’t feel anything, even during the supposed “emotional” scenes where I’m expected to feel for her. Perhaps it’s the way the character was written, but she just felt very one-dimensional to me, almost like her character was merely “going through the motions” with everything instead of being a character that comes alive with heart and soul. Logan Fowler is looking for justice against the guy that stole his birthright and ruined his family, he shows up in Pecan Gap, Texas in the 1880s to confront Zach Hamilton. This is the hardened criminal that is responsible for his father’s being killed. Instead of finding a single ruthless gambler, he finds a guy that isn’t much older than he is who has an odd family. More Than Meets the Eye” is the first novel in the “Patchwork Family” series, which was released in the year 2018. A lot of people believe Evangeline Hamilton is cursed. She was orphaned when she was young and possesses a pair of eyes that are mismatched, one is dark brown and one bright blue. Evangeline has fought hard to find her way through a world that is constantly rejecting her. The support of just one person is able to help overcome the judgments of the world, and now Evangeline has two, Zach and Seth. These are two fellow orphans that she now considers her brothers. There is a cutdown version of this book called "You Make The Difference In Helping Your Child Learn" by H. Ayala Manolson which covers the same ground more succinctly. Unless you find reading textbooks relaxing, or have a long solo train ride coming up, I recommend reading that one instead.

The word count of Philip Pullman’s three-book His Dark Materials fantasy series is 390,575, about the length of reading J. R. R. Tolkien’s The Silmarillion (130,115) three times. The Golden Compass The More Than Words guidebook and DVD are easily digestible resources that provide you with a step-by-step learning experience. You can use the guidebook on its own, or you can use it in combination with the companion DVD to maximize your learning.

Does Nina follow the carefully outlined life her family has worked hard to create, with her boyfriend Tim and his parents, who are practically second parents to Nina? Or can she entertain thoughts of a future with Rafael, who is running for Mayor of New York City? The internet has officially destroyed everyone’s attention span; so much so that making it through a Spot The Dog book now requires a major feat of concentration. Love triangles are nothing new, but this one is done well. So many times I’m clearly rooting hard for one person to “get the girl” in these types of stories, but here I genuinely liked both men in Nina’s life which made me feel for her (and them) as she struggled to chose one of them. There was quite a bit of drama here as Nina navigates life after her fathers death, which was also fun as it broke up the romancey parts. Nina Gregory has always been a good daughter, a good girlfriend. Raised by her father, owner of New York City's glamorous Gregory Hotels, after her mother's death, Nina was taught that family, reputation, and legacy are what matter most. And her boyfriend Tim, thoughtful, kind, and honest, not to mention her best friend since childhood, feels the same. But after Nina's father passes away, she learns he may not have practiced what he preached. Extensive research has shown that when parents interact with their child in specific ways that motivate, encourage and support communication, they can make a significant difference to their child's social and communication development.More Than Words is barely a story. Hotel heiress Nina Gregory's father is dying. Her mother died when she was eight. (Oh, various parental mysteries!) Her boyfriend, childhood friend Tim, wants to get married. Nina is attracted to Rafael, mayoral candidate for New York City whose campaign she's part of. You can guess the whole thing from this. Which is about as long as most of the chapters are. More Than Words' is a lovely story about a young woman coming into her own in New York City during a time of tremendous personal and professional upheaval. I enjoyed Nina's story and the New York setting. Nina Gregory lost her mother to a tragic accident when she was a girl, and is now dealing with her father's terminal cancer. Her father owns the renowned Gregory Hotels, catering to the rich and powerful. He carefully crafted a persona and taught Nina that reputation and public perception were the key to success. Her life was laid out before her, take over the Gregory Hotels, marry Tim, the boy she has known since birth, and continue the legacy. Jill Santopolo sure knows how to tug at the heartstrings, much as she did in her last book, The Light We Lost. This is a well-written book with some serious steam, and it’s pretty compelling. It’s also poignant and emotional and a little predictable, too. Definitely had me hooked though!! In that book, Lucy struggled to resolve her feelings for 'the one who got away" with “the one who took his place”.
