About this deal

Also my last question is when a digital piano outputs lower MIDI velocities, are the velocities it produces relatively the same, just lower, or are they also of a more narrow range?

vol/1024k non-vol/DX21/Roland MT32/Bachmann double overstrung Baby Grand Piano/Win10 Pro/Ubuntu MATE 15. Please note: Although the sustain socket is advertised as being continuous, this keyboard will not output continuous midi signal if you connect an expression pedal into the sustain socket. Weighing only 12kg, the Roland FP-10 is easily carried to a small concert venue or a practice room, along with its transformer. The new FP-10 actually has a lot in common with its older brother – in particular, the high-quality piano sound and hammer action.

Rest assured, I don’t play anything complicated enough where I’ll be needing multiple levels of sustain, so I think I can live with it, until I become more skilled.

When you reach the polyphony cap, the piano starts to drop the earliest played notes to free up memory for new notes, which in turn affects the quality and fullness of the sound. Moreover, a good pair of headphones will provide a clearer and more detailed sound compared to the onboard speakers. At the end of your contract when you've made your final payment, the instrument or equipment is all yours. All of the basic tones that you’ll need in any basic professional setting or even to have some fun with at home are covered, such as electric pianos, organs, strings and synths.

Bonners Ltd acts as a credit broker and only offers credit products from Secure Trust Bank PLC trading as V12 Retail Finance.

If you wish to have both sustain and an expression pedal you will need to plug your expression pedal separately.

The FP-10 also ships with a music rest and basic footswitch pedal that we would recommend upgrading to the Roland DP-10 damper pedal with half-pedalling capability. If you’ve found that Korg pedal units use the same 1/4″ jacks as the KDP90, there’s a chance they will also work with the FP-60/FP-90, but I can’t say for sure cause I haven’t tested. The FP-10’s PHA-4 Standard keyboard delivers the responsive feel of a fine acoustic piano, with every nuance whether you play hard or soft captured by Roland’s touch-detection technology. For the clientele who don't want to/can't install it, however, the reduced range of functions is a pity. The speakers sound pretty good for their size, and if you don’t require huge volume, or if you intend to play using headphones more often than not, this won’t be an issue. Given that the FP-10 has been out for several years now, there are people that might be thinking that the FP-10 is yesterday’s news and doesn’t currently stack up to some of the newer models from the likes of Casio, Kawai, or even Roland itself with the newer FP-30X. So I guess I'll HAVE to go with the Roland FP-30, although I really like the other features of the PX-S (especially the PX-S3000 is such a great piano), but the described issue just breaks my basic work flow.
